I kinda freaked out a little bit the day after my wedding about all the change..but I'll save that story for another time!
Anyway, my darling husband has left me to go on another business trip. I was sad and kinda gripey while he was packing yesterday morning. I went into the bathroom to brush my hair and when I picked up my brush it was soaking wet. I went to bed with wet hair, although I did wonder how it could still be wet some 10 hours later. Anyway, I didn't really care and brushed my hair with it anyway.
I went back to the bedroom while brushing and Ryan looks up and says, "Um, wasn't your brush wet?"
Me: "Yeah, how did you know?"
Ry: "Oh, I accidentally knocked it into the toilet this morning."
Me: dropping the brush "nastiness Ryan, thanks for telling me."
Ry: "So now you have toilet water in your hair. Ew!"
So, I suddenly wasn't as sad he was leaving. He is only going to be gone for a few days anyway.
This weekend we went to the Stuttgart Winefest and it was lots of fun. Instead of wine, I got champagne with fresh strawberries...yum!

Last night I couldn't go to sleep right away and I kept thinking about all the military wives whose husbands get deployed for months and months, like my friends Rachel, Paige, and Amanda R, and I started praying for all of the families who are separated. Something to remember when the rest of us snuggle up at night with our husbands.
Have a great Monday!

Funny story! I hope your husband makes it back quickly and safely!
What a funny story....that is one that you will have to tell and retell..your girls will love hearing it some day...and so will your grandkids. I am laughing out loud...but then it wasn't me with toilet water in my hair!!!lol
I think your insight is beautiful. I pray for our service men and their families every day. My grandson is in bootcamp now. He will be a medic and may be deployed soon after his training. He will not leave a wife or family here at home but it will be hard for his folks and John and I to have him far away in harm's way. I do not want to think about it. We just have to trust that he is in God's hands.
I hope your hubby's trip goes well and he is back in your arms before long. While he is away are you planning how you are going to get even for the hair brush incident?
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I always love hearing from you.
Happy labor day. Hugs, Grammy
I would throw the brush out and get a new one. Thank you God for our soldiers, bless them and their families and continue to guide our country in a God fearing way. Help us to listen to you God, we (Americans) seem to be dancing to our own music and not "AMAZING GRACE" anymore.
I love ya girl, Mom
Ah girl, you're so sweet. Its hard whether it's a few days, months, or a year to be away from the one you love! I miss Troy so much....I get to see him in Thailand in 12 days though.....longest 12 days ever!
Your hair brush story is sooooooooo funny! I've actually done that, but then threw it away. hahah Did you get mad at him for not telling you?! haha
Hope the next few days fly by and your hubby will be home before you know it!
ewww!! hahaha...sooo FUNNY!
ps: true point about military wives...I follow a bunch of wives of military men and I have utmost respect for them.
Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my blog! I LOVE your blog! That is so awesome that you are living abroad right now and get to travel! That is my husband and my FAVORITE thing in the WORLD to do! We've been to some of the places that you've visited since we've been married, but definitely not all of them. What a wonderful opportunity! I'll be "following" along!!!
That is hilarious!! Your poor hair!
Haha, oh my gosh! Ick! Hope the time without your husband flies by :)
Oh yummy...I don't know what that is you're eating but it looks divine!
that's hilarious! (after your hair has been rewashed, right?)
and you know, josh was gone for two years in iraq and it's amazing what you can do when you're forced with certain circumstances. but now, if he goes out of town for a day i have no idea what to do! i tell myself, he was gone for two years, this is just two days!!!!! :)
Ha! A few months ago, my brother dropped his glasses in the toliet! Nastiness, again!
HA! That is so gross that he knocked your brush in the toilet, rude rude rude!
