Scrabble that!

I loved all the comments I got on my previous post. I hardly ever do personal blog postings, but that is something I want to change this year. Mostly because I write this blog for me, and for us to have something to look at later that chronicles our daily lives.

I took two videos yesterday of the constant snowfall happening 'round these parts. If you are reading this and are from somewhere where snow is the norm...these will bore you. I keep telling our families in Texas and Florida about the inch upon inch of snow (because it's not normal for us)...and now they can feel like they are right here with us.

In the second one you can hear the little girls saying, "Eins, Zwei.." {one, two} and then throwing snow on each other. Fun game. You can also hear my stuffy nose. Blah.

Speaking of games, last night we didn't play Spades. We played Scrabble. Thanks to my new infatuation with the app 'words with friends' (and thanks to Katie for suggesting it!) Anyway, I was 70 points ahead with the end in sight...and Ryan got stuck. So to be nice, I suggested he add an "S" to my word "Jeweler". Then it dawned on me. He was now going to beat me. I was so mad at myself for helping him that I kicked over the game board and sent letter tiles flying all over our living room.

Ryan's eyes about bulged out of his head. He didn't even have words. I know. I know. Mrs. Mature. So this morning I woke up when he did and while he was in the shower I made him breakfast (and no, not cereal...I actually made him an egg sandwich with salmon). I can't let him trudge through all that snow thinking I'm totally inept and have the maturity level of a 4 year old.

And that's how it's done.

I wrote my comment on your previous post before I read this one. And I take what I said back - just kidding. As Lori said, that's the Laura we all know and love. :)

Laura, you have such an awesome heart. I know that Ryan loves you to bits, and you give me inspiration on how I can be the best wife I can to Zev. Hope to catch up with you soon! Fi

Haha, I love that you kicked the board! I would have done it too:) Have you played the new game, "Scrabble Slam?" Everytime I play that with Shawn, he uses the same words over and over, or just changes one letter. Loser.

Please sign our guestbook! I would love to see who keeps up with us....
